Tarquin Sutherland is son of noted Conductor and Composer Iain Sutherland and has enjoyed a long and varied career within the music industry.
An experienced multi-instrumentalist, with stints in bands signed to both indie and major labels - he has also been employed in the capacity of both live and studio engineer, and has more recently turned his hand to production.
In the commercial sector Tarquin gained experience of the world of music magazines in the capacity of Advertising Manager for 'Replay' magazine - the UK's first publication with a CD cover mount. More recently, he was responsible for heading up the management team at the highly respected venue Alleycat Live in Reading. Turning his hand towards involvement in teaching, he was involved in music outreach initiatives run by both Camden Council in London and Westmoreland Music Council in Cumbria, and has worked in a consultative capacity with industry organizations, such as the National Band Register and the Young Persons Concert Foundation, (of which his father is a Director).
Most recently, Tarquin splits his time between running his own video production company: Big Productions; and acting as Managing Editor on the soon to be launched national music magazine: 'Noize Market', produced in association with the popular independent music website, Ukbands.net.
