British Music Week 2007 takes place from the 1st till the 7th of October 2007. For more info. Please , e-mail : info@britishmusicweek.com 3RD annual British Music Week launches from the 1st till the 7th of October 2007. This event is aimed at artist, artist managers, CE0, online & digital companies, mobile companies, music media, labels and publishers and is the first of its kind to take place within the UK. British Music Week offers access to information, advice from key industry figures, opportunities for companies to promote and network as well as giving a platform for unsigned artists to perform at key live music venues across London.
British Music Week pays homage to the legacy of the UK music industry and is an event with a long term strategy to promote and safeguard the future of British Music.
Edward Krenshaw, Head of Marketing @ Vodafone said, “This is a fantastic opportunity for the music industry to do business. It is an exciting time within the industry, where there has been a fresh surge of incredible music writers and performers that have gained success both domestically and internationally. We also have a great music infrastructure of labels, publishers, managers and various media platforms that needs to be invested in, supported and encouraged to advance.’
This event aims to champion British music bringing the component parts of industry together through a series of seminars, workshops and showcase events that will take place from the 1st till the 7th of October. There will be various related activities taking place across that week to help establish British Music Week as one of the UK’s music industry event of the year.
Ken Livingstone, Mayor of London added “Music has been one of Britain's greatest cultural and economic exports for fifty years. From The Rolling Stones to The Sex Pistols, acid house and grime, London has always been at the heart of it. I am pleased that Invincible Media have launched this London event to champion British music and I wish it great success."
The event launches at the 1st of Oct 2007 till the 7th October 2007 with a multitude of events up and down the capital.
